David Winfield Killam named 2025 Mr. South Texas by the WBCA

We salute Mr. David W. Killam who was selected as the 2025 Mr. South Texas Award honoree by the 127th Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association. David Killam becomes a member of a prestigious group of national and international men and women who are distinguished by their significant contribution to the growth and quality of life in Laredo and the South Texas region. This honor recognizes a life of solid, selfless achievement.

David’s leadership and commitment to family and community spans multiple generations. He is the third generation of Killams in Laredo, Texas, and he follows an impressive family line of influential figures. His grandfather, Oliver Winfield “O.W.” Killam, and father, Radcliffe Killam, were also honored as Mr. South Texas in 1956 and 1978, respectively, for their positive contributions.

The Mr. South Texas distinction is one of the most celebrated and illustrious awards. As David accepts the honor, he upholds the Killam family legacy and principles of making a lasting impact and leading with courage, vision, and heart. We are very proud of David Killam, and we thank the WBCA committee for this prominent title.

Past honorees include Governor Ann W. Richards, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, Governor George W. Bush, and many trailblazing figures. The Award presentation and luncheon is a signature event of the annual WBCA celebration that will take place on February 15, 2025.
