Cliffe Killam is a Partner at Killam Development and is responsible for planning and business development. Prior to joining Killam Development in January 2011, he worked for 3 years at Standard Chartered Bank (formerly Harrison Lovegrove) in the oil and gas investment banking group specializing in international oil and gas corporate and asset transactions. He has completed over $600 million in transactions in the US, Latin America, and Africa and performed numerous advisory mandates services to executive management teams. Prior to Standard Chartered, he worked as an analyst at Wood Mackenzie, where he was a part of the team that launched and built out the US upstream research and consulting services. Cliffe received a Master’s from The University of Texas at Austin in Energy and Mineral Resources from the Petroleum Engineering College and Bachelor’s in English Literature from Boston University.
Real Estate Development Manager
Roland Ortiz is the Real Estate Manager and is responsible for all aspects involving the Killam Real Estate portfolio. He has been involved with the development of over 700,000 SF of industrial warehouse space and has developed over 1,000 single family residential lots. He supervises all leasing, facilitates management, maintenance, marketing and property value enhancement of the real estate investment portfolio.
Mr. Ortiz has a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M International University and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas State University. He holds a Texas Brokers License and is a Certified Shopping Center Manager and a Certified Retail Property Executive designated by the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is a former President of the Laredo Builders Association and the Laredo Development Foundation and currently sits on the Texas Freight Advisory Committee for the Texas Department of Transportation.
Sr. Leasing Manager
Omar Minhas has recently joined Killam Development, Ltd as a Senior Leasing Manager. Omar received his BA in Economics at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a double minor in Spanish and Leadership and Organizational Theory.
Mr. Minhas has been in the mall and retail industry for over ten years. He was an analyst, leasing manager, and asset manager for CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. based out of Chattanooga TN where he officed for many years. CBL currently manages and owns Mall Del Norte in Laredo, TX.
Most recently he was hired as an Asset Manager for a large portfolio for a private equity company based out of Austin TX. Now with Killam Development in Laredo, Omar will be responsible for leasing Paseo Casa Blanca phase 2 as well as the Shoppes at Winfield which will be breaking ground in the coming months. Omar has established himself as a leader in the retail industry and has many national and regional connections. This move by Killam Development shows their commitment to the growth in the real estate sector of their company.
Andres Gonzalez, P.E., C.F.M.
Andres “Andy” Gonzalez, Jr., P.E. is the Construction Supervisor for Killam Development and is responsible for all commercial construction and development. Working hand in hand with the Real Estate Development Manager and Real Estate Property Manager, Andy ensures timeliness completion of commercial projects for Killam Development.
Andy graduated from the Texas A & M University – Kingsville in 1998 with a Major in Industrial Technology and Minor in Business Administration. He received his Professional Engineering License in March 2010 from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
Prior to his role with Killam Development, while employed for over 13 years with the Texas Department of Transportation, Andy served as the project manager/project engineer on several mobility projects in and around the Laredo area. He also had tenures working for the District Construction and Maintenance offices in which provide oversight on district wide construction and maintenance projects. In addition, Andy served as the Building Official for the City of Laredo from January 2013 through January 2015 during which time he played a significant role in the management, budget, and performance of the Building Development Services Department.
Phil H. Jeong
Senior Financial Analyst
Phil Jeong is the new senior financial analyst at Killam Development. Mr. Jeong holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University in Economics and International Studies and a MBA from W.P. Carey school of business at Arizona State University with a concentration in Finance. Mr. Jeong was also awarded Poets & Quants class of 2016’s Best and Brightest MBAs.
Mr. Jeong brings 5-years of work experience in commercial real estate development in various roles such as financial analyst, director of lease administration, and a liaison to an international hospital development project in South Korea. Mr. Jeong also worked in the gaming/entertainment industry as a MBA summer executive associate in Las Vegas with MGM Resorts International.
